About the Membership

The Carpenters’ Union, Central Ontario Regional Council is 15,000-strong. Our united efforts have achieved the highest standards in negotiated wages, benefits, pensions, working conditions and other contract terms.

The membership consists of many trades that fall under the jurisdiction of the Carpenters’ Union. These include:

• Drywallers
• Resilient Floor Workers
• Shinglers
• Siders/Metalmen
• Trim Carpenters (High Rise & Low Rise)
• Caulkers
• Industrial Workers
• Labourers
• Servicemen

We support many of these trades with training and apprenticeship programs in our various facilities, a list of which can be found [here]. Our programs help our members upgrade their skills and encourage newcomers to join the trade. Our members can take advantage of a structured and progressive learning environment that also gives them on-site experience.

Our members come from every walk of life and every corner of the world. We are united in our efforts to maintain good working conditions and benefits. We are proud to contribute our skills to quality construction projects.
