Who We Are

The Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario is a progressive labour organization that represents over 20,000 women and men working in a variety of skilled trades, including carpentry, drywall, resilient flooring among others. Our Council is composed of 16 affiliated Local Unions across Ontario and it bargains on behalf of its members and mandates wage and benefit minimums in accordance with its collective agreements. It is currently headquartered in the city of Vaughan.

Our Executive Council members, Business Representative and Organizers all worked on the tools before dedicating their time to serving the Union. They understand and appreciate the day-to-day intensity and focus that must be brought to the job site in order to complete a project on time and on budget. We bring this same focus to the negotiating table and are proud to represent our members.
